“A Peaceful Getaway.” When we went on this holiday, I was planning on looking for an affordable quiet location. This apartment suited it all. The host, Stephanie, was very friendly and helpful to all questions we had. The flat was extremely clean and it was like being in our own home. The front balcony with those views in the evening was another bonus to the apartment. I can't say anything more but excellent throughout. All the family enjoyed staying in this apartment and will definitely recommend this apartment.

“Lovely Fort Chambray apartment” My husband and daughter stayed a week in this lovely apartment. It was impeccably clean and is furnished with all the items one needs while on holiday. The complex itself is gorgeous, the pool area a dream. One of the most beautiful and large swimming pools I've seen and is luxuriously large considering the number of residents. It was a relaxing and quiet renovated fort complex. The owner Maurice dealt helpfully with any questions or needs we had. The only problem we had was leaving. Not only would I recommend it, I can't wait to go back again the next opportunity we have.

“Lovely apartment” The apartment is large and a well equipped holiday home. There is an access road in front of the apartment, where you can park and is right by the side of the bay. You can easily swim from the rocks there, or walk round to the top of the bay to the sandy very safe beach, which takes about 15 minutes. The local bus stop is at the entrance to the access road, which is very useful if you want to go to Sliema or Valletta. Never drive to Sliema or Valletta because parking is almost non existent and the buses are regular and cheap. Just down from the bus stop is a small supermarket and in both directions a couple of restaurants and bars. There are plenty of beach towels, chairs and a parasol for trips to the beach. Air conditioning is provided by ceiling fans and there is a large covered balcony overlooking the bay with a dining table and chairs, sofa and armchair to sit and enjoy the view. The TV only has Italian or Maltese speaking channels, but there is a DVD Player.The apartment owners are on hand if you have any problems, but have tried to provide everything for a comfortabler stay.

“Absolutely amazing!” My husband and I stayed in the lovely one bedroom penthouse apartment in the hot month of July and the place is very nice, clean and fully equipped with everything we needed. It even had a small bbq which we have only noticed in the cupboard above the oven half way though our stay; we even had a bag of coal and we were able to enjoy a couple of bbq's in the evening on the terrace enjoying the lovely views and the cooling breeze. The views from both terraces are stunning (photos don't do them justice)! Yes, the hill to reach the apartment is a bit steep to climb especially in the hot afternoons, but it is so worth being so high up as from the terraces you can see so much... absolutely amazing!!! George is very nice and friendly. It made a difference to be picked up from the airport and dropped back. Thank you George for the very nice place you have offered! We will for sure go back as we loved this island so much! Marsascala is a beautiful, relaxing, quiet area where the locals are so friendly. We had some memorable nights in a few local bars, among them The Beach Club (by St Thomas Bay) and L-Awwista. Also Gabriel's serves fantastic food at reasonable prices.

“Perfect for the big family” We had an absolutely wonderful holiday and we enjoyed the house very much. Its a great house, perfect for a big family. There is room for everyone, many quiet corners to read a book or play and a fantastic pool. We were 12 and not sitting on eachothers lap. We also loved Gharb and Gozo. Quiet, relaxed, beautiful and friendly. We all would love to come back, and will definitely recommend Penmon House to others. “Wonderful holiday!” We stayed in Doriannes farmhouse late august 2012 for 12 nights. Two families, 6 teens and 4 parents. Dorianne could not have been more helpful from the initial booking process right through to departure. If you want a quiet break Gozo is for you! I would say a car would be a must so that you can visit all the beaches, sightsee etc but before you book in UK ask Dorianne to get a price for you from Franky who will also organise airport pick up from Malta to Gozo and then have your car delivered to the Farmhouse. Everywhere really is only 10 mins drive but I guess it would be a 40 min trek walking to any beach. Having Victoria on the doorstep was wonderful & we recommend locally La Stanza, It Tokk and Patricks Lounge Restaurants (you can walk to these from the Farmhouse) Highly recommend taking a boat trip around Gozo, (ask Franky to organise/get a cost for you or easy to do yourself from the Harbour. The sea and coast are stunning and the sea really is turquoise! Dorianne left a starter pack of bread cheese and ham & some homemade wine on arrival which was a lovely start to the holiday. The Farmhouse is basic, but was clean spacious and covered all our needs! When we wanted more salad bowls Dorianne happily supplied. The pool is wonderful. Our only recommendation to Dorianne would be to add some greenery/colour plants to soften the outside pool area along the walls as it is very stark without any greenery. The garden at the back of the house was lovely to sit out in the evenings but would benefit from having chairs and a small table with umbrella so you can use in the day & at night so you can appreciate the view which you don't get by the pool.
