“Loved Maui by the Sea!” Valerie, We loved our stay at the cottage. Couldn't have been better! Tavares beach was our favorite, just watching turtles and hanging out. Paia is a great town. “Beautiful Home” The setting and view is spectacular. All the rooms were very nice. We enjoyed the pool table upstairs, although be careful as there is a flaw in the slate and the cue ball can go flying! The Sonos music system is also great. The backyard is perfect. Lots of pool toys. We enjoyed the evenings watching the stars. We did have a few minor issues. We had 3 adult couples and it wasn't clear that two of the bedrooms had a shared bath. The other bath was across the hall. We had expected private baths for each bedroom. The showers are beautiful but water pressure is minimal. Lastly, it seems that pool and hot tub controls are managed by the owner down below. The pool light would turn off and if you wanted to swim late, we couldn't find a pool light switch. Lastly, we didn't have heat in the hot tub the first day/night and requested help from the owner. No response. The pool maintenance person fixed it for us the next day. Even with these minor issues, I would recommend the home again. It is beautiful and has stunning views. We enjoyed the fruit trees, too.

“A wonderful, relaxing place to stay in Maui” Just what we wanted! The place is very convenient, and has the amenities needed for a relaxing beach vacation, including beach chairs & mats, towels, boogie boards etc. Parking is a breeze, and it's close to the bus line as well. The well equipped kitchen inspired us to eat in most evenings. I would recommend to my friends as family.

“Paradise Found” Thank you for providing a beautiful condo for us to stay in. The unit was in the perfect location at the resort. We loved seeing the lights from the garden pool outside of our bedroom at night. The furnishings are absolutely beautiful and the unit was very clean! We loved the spa shower! We could not have asked for a more perfect place to spend our vacation. We only wish that we had booked a longer trip. We will definitely be back. We really appreciated your recomendations on where to eat and what to see while visiting Maui. Star noodle is our new favorite restaurant! The location of the resort itself was perfect. We loved being able to walk to new restaurants every night, except for the nights we cooked in! We really enjoyed the Bbq's and the fully stocked kitchen. We were also able to find free parking every night on the street out front. Thank you again for lettings us stay in your beautiful condo, we will be back!

“Well equipped and maintained, comfortable and easy access to beach, food and shopping.” This was my second stay at this lovely 1 BR condo in Kihei and I enjoyed it even more. The location is great, just across S Kihei Rd from the beach at the north end of Kamaole Beach #1. You can walk on the beach all the way to Ulua Beach if you want. The place is amazingly well equipped. All you need to cook and toys for the beach. This time, I even discovered two yoga mats in covers and two yoga blocks to go with them. Perfect for home yoga or taking them to the beach yoga classes that sometime happen. It is also possible to walk to good food and even the grocery store. The building has a great pool for afternoon cooling and laundry facilities are available on site. There is a bit of a view of the ocean from the lanai, but the general vista of palm trees and tropical vegetation in the neighboring buildings was quite nice. Never used the AC, screens and fans kept things comfortable. Finally the electronics were great, big screen and lots of music and video service choices.

“Wonderful accommodations” We stayed at Jean's condo for 2 weeks in Feb/March 2014. The condo was outstanding on the quiet end of Kihei Rd. This is a very nice condo with an island color scheme. The furnishings were comfortable both inside and on the lanai. There is air conditioning but you can get a nice breeze moving if you use the ceiling fans and keep the windows open. Everything was there for our use. The only thing you need to bring is a change of clothes, perishable groceries and a toothbrush. The cupboards were well stocked with almost everything imaginable including aloe vera for my husbands nasty sunburn. Having a washer and dryer in the unit is a great advantage. The laundry detergent & fabric softener were provided. The kitchen has all kinds of stuff you might need including a mix master, food processor etc. We have made several trips to Maui and have never stayed somewhere that was so well stocked. The condo was very well cleaned without a speck of dust anywhere. The floors shined. The gardeners are meticulous. Not a single blade of grass was out of place. The area around the pool has several bbq's and an outdoor kitchen. The pool and hot tub were nice and didn't have excessive chemicals used. Jean was very attentive to our needs. She answered phone calls and replied to all emails within minutes. She provided a lovely gift basket for us filled with coffee, potato chips, chocolates plus other goodies. She has a book of information in the condo with recommendations for restaurants, activities, etc. I would highly recommend this condo for anybody that needs a two bedroom. I wish there was a way to leave more than 5 stars because this place is a 10. Thank you again Jean for sharing your lovely condo with us. I cannot wait to go back. We will most certainly rent from you again on our next trip.

“Wonderful stay in the perfect home. Great golf and beach locatio” My friends and I stayed in this high-end well-appointed home while we were on Maui. Our main purpose was to fit in as many games of golf as possible as our wives shopped and relaxed by the pools and enjoyed the beaches. This plan worked out perfectly since we were located right on golf course and a short walk from the beach. Everyone was more than happy with our accommodations and being able to rent a spacious home in the center of a luxury resort was ideal. This home was an exceptional value when you consider that most of the hotel rooms in the Wailea/Kihei area go for the same price for just one room. Everyone in our group felt as though this was our own home in Maui and we expect we will return again as soon as we can. We highly recommend this place and would like to thank the owners for extending us their every kindness. Sincerely, Don M

“Amazingly Remarkable Vacation Spot” We found our paradise !! My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Sugar Beach Resort in Maui. The view is amazing! How wonderful to hear the waves crashing just below. Soothing and so romantic! So nice to be able to cook meals in and also use the Bbq's at the pool. My husband enjoyed meeting other guy's cooking at the Bbq's. It was quite the social atmosphere. We have been to Maui several times and really liked the location of your condo. So much better than staying in a motel with all the amenities you provided. Thank you so much for the wonderfully decorated tropical atmosphere we had an amazing vacation and will be booking again real soon.

“Perfect location, great view” Unit was clean and comfortable for four adults and a baby. Steps from a fabulous beach. Short walk to shops and restaurants. All the amenities of home. Loved our stay. Can't wait to go back.

“Very good place” Convenient position. Clean room. There is everything you need on the beach. Some clean supplies, might be remains from previous renter.

“Exactly as promised” Very nice accommodation very central. Less than mile from downtown business. Some much closer. Shaved ice and other restaurants are closer.

“Breath Taking Views” This penthouse is as advertised! Views are incredible. We saw spouting whales daily ( in season) The humpback whale foundation is right next door and you can hear the conch shells at sunset nightly. There is an Indian restaurant downstairs that serves nightly... So convenient. Makenna beach just down the road was our favorite beach... We would love to return someday!

“Great place to stay” Took a chance on a different rental and glad we did. Condo is very well equipped with necessities, clean and in walking distance to beach. There's lots off good restaurants to venture to, plus fast food if care to go that way. Grocery stores near by. Really enjoyed our stay.

“Hideaway for Best Getaway” Location: We travelled all over the island, seeing every little nook and cranny. What we realized was that our home base, the "Hideaway" is ideally located on the island. You're centrally located between Kihei (our favourite town), the airport, Lahaina, et al. You're also near some of the best beaches around, including Sugar Beach, the one on which the Hideaway sits, which has one of the best views on all of the island. One suggestion is to stop to get supplies from one of the major grocers near the airport, when you first arrive, to get a firm base of what you need: beer, snacks, meat, veggies, etc. Then you can shop at the nearby general stores for convenience or 10 minute drive to Foodland for following shopping needs. Amenities: The "\Hideaway has everything you need to operate comfortably: dishes, utensils, bedding, beach supplies, cleaning supplies, washer/dryer, brand new oven/stove, brand new TV/sound system, etc. The balcony has the best view. The unit being on the second floor is great in that you get an elevated view but you're still quick to access parking or the pool by elevator or stairs. Facilities: The pool area is superior in its craftsmanship and comfort. It has the only Jacuzzi in the area. You wouldn't think something like this would be necessary in a hot area but it's amazing, especially in the hot, bright sun. One of, if not the biggest highlight about this building is its proximity to the ocean. Not only is there no road between your balcony and the ocean but you're so near to it that you can see the sea turtles floating by. Apparently this luxury of being so close to the ocean is not something you'll see anymore on Maui as they have changed their regulations so that buildings need to be built much further from the ocean. Owners: Accommodating to the max. Wendall and Sally only want you to have the best possible experience on Maui and in the Hideaway. I can't even go to the lengths at which Wendall went to make sure our stay was excellent, suffice to say that it couldn't have been as good without having them to help us out. Conclusion: If you can get in to the Hideaway, go with the opportunity and you will be happy you did.
