“Excellent Condo for the Money” When we reserved the condo we got three very informative emails in reply letting us know about check in-check out procedures, nearby restaurants, car rentals, activities in Maui, etc., so that was very helpful. When we got there we found the condo very clean with plenty of comfortable furnishings. There is no A/C but we found that if we opened the windows and turned on the fans in the evenings, the condo stayed very comfortable. It did not get too hot in the middle of the day. Kevin's policy of marking refrigerator items with the date of purchase is brilliant and renters to save on the cost of condiments and other little items. The pantry was full of staples too, so if you forgot to get something at the store, you will likely find it in the cupboard! Kevin keeps the bathroom medicine cabinet, linen closet and bedroom closets stocked with everything else you may need - boogie boards, sand toys, snorkel equipment, pool noodles, laundry detergent, bleach, bandages, antibacterial ointment, sunscreen, linens, beach towels, duct tape, you name it! The only thing we needed but couldn't find was a pair of scissors, but we got by! FYI, there is no dishwasher, so you will have to wash the dishes by hand. The location is very nice. It is in a part of town where you can walk to restaurants, a natural (but vegetarian) market, coffee shop, shave ice store, surf shop, etc. Plus it is a bout a 5-10 minute drive north of Lahaina if you need more in terms of shops and restaurants. Lahaina is also a prime spot for surf and paddleboard lessons and for hiring a boat for deep sea fishing, among other activities. The condo is also right across the street from a nice, well-used (by locals and tourists alike) park and beach. The surf doesn't get real big here, so it was a perfect boogie boarding location for our 10 year old, and a nice fishing location for our 14 year old. Plus, BONUS PART, a sea turtle hung out with us one afternoon, eating whatever grows on the rocks just off shore and swimming around our ankles.

“Comfortable for family vacation. Pool great for granddaughter. Beach close walk.” The condo was comfortable for our family vacation including 2 year old granddaughter. Quiet location most of the time. Convenient to beach - great sunsets every night. Staff quickly responded to replace leaking coffee pot; if you cook a good deal from scratch, the kitchen equipment might not have everything you want. We were able to make most meals easily.

“Perfect modern condo with breathtaking views!” Our stay at # 780 couldn't have been better. The condo is just beautiful with everything you need right there. The location is fabulous, and Janna is the perfect owner/hostess. She answered all of our questions straight away, and was available at any time if we needed her. The decor is beautiful and clean, and the condo is equipped with everything you need, although with so many wonderful restaurants close by we hardly used the fully equipped kitchen. The views are to die for, with magnificent sunsets every night and front row seats for the Friday nights fireworks. We used the Ilikai Hotel Tour desk for booking our tours and there were passes for the hotel pool which we used when we didn't swim in the ocean. I would most definitely stay there again and have recommended it to my friends.

“Fantastic Experience” Stayed with my partner, her 7yr old son, and 79yr old mother. Apartments on the North side were spacious, and even though it was a single room, had enough space for the four of us. Fantastic location with whales visible from the room/beach. Jim was commendable in being flexible with our plans, which due to flight availability, changed part way through discussions. He was very helpful in recommending locations and activities. Look forward to our next stay here.

“Wonderful!” Our condo, 412B, at Maui Sunset was completely updated and beautifully decorated, with a lovely view. Units at this complex can vary depending on who you are renting from. We were very happy with this unit rented from Kumulani, and would definitely do so again. The Kumulani staff was terrific!

“We'll be back (said in my best Schwarzenegger voice)” Our 10 days at the Maui Sunset were amazing. Beautiful grounds, great for the kids, just open the door and go. We will definitely stay at the Maui Sunset again. That being said, this particular unit could use just a little tlc. A few updates on fixtures (faucets in particular). Also, we travelled with 3 other families and the other 3 units offered beach accesorries, ie; chairs, boogie boards, large cooler, etc. Our unit did not offer any of these items. We found out that it is up to the individual owners what the guests have access to. By no means am I complaining, those items just would have been nice. In closing, I highly reccommend the Maui Sunset and this particular unit. The Robinson's

“Maui Sunset A wonderful place for family & friends” We've been staying at the Maui Sunset since the late 80's. First were our parents,then us, now our children and soon their little ones. “Comfortable and quiet condo” Maui Sunset is a very well maintained property. This unit is comfortable and well supplied with amenities, but has not been updated like others in the complex. I was there for an extended stay, and management was excellent (Wendy).

“Nice property, unit 105a could use some updates” The grounds of the Maui Sunset are very nice and well maintained. The pool is good but very "rules oriented" (i.e. can't horseplay with your children). Unit 105A had all needed amenities but could definitely use some renovations and upgrades (still has a VHS player!). Carpet must be replaced, sofabed matress was AWFUL and the main bed was quite uncomfortable. Did like the A/C and ceiling fans.
