“Paridise In Big Bear” My husband and I went to the Chalet with our 2 dogs and had a great time. Kiyoe was very welcoming. The place was very clean and homey. Our dogs loved the trails right outside the back door. What we enjoyed the most was the privacy and how quiet the area was. We definitely will go back! Thank you for having us... “Great RRV Getaway -- Quiet & Remote, yet Conveniently Located to” We rented this updated house for Thanksgiving.We were a party of 6: grandparents,adult children & 2 grandchildren.We stayed in the downstairs, and the kids and grandkids stayed in the upstairs 2 BR with one large bathroom (with jacuzzi tub, shower stall & sauna) and a separate 1/2 bath.The house itself has one large living & kitchen area, with an eating bar,upstairs,with a second living area and kitchenette downstairs, which has an additional exterior door). We did not realize that the upstairs & downstairs aren't connected "inside"-you have to use the outside stairs to go from one area to the other. It's not a big deal and it provided a bit of separation from the noise and commotion of the kiddos.Overall,the house updated: updates in the kitchen,bathrooms,downstairs,central heat, Wifi,etc.Yet very comfortable and quaint with electric fireplaces (no wood burning),views of the redwoods from every window & large outdoor decks.The decks wrap around the house and provide privacy if you choose to use the hot tub or sit outside and enjoy the porch views of the trees & the RR. With latching gates at the top of the stairs, it was safe for the 3 yr old.The kitchen is a bit tight,but it is fully equipped with a nice frig,new gas range,new dishwasher.We cooked a full Thanksgiving dinner(always a challenge in someone else's kitchen),there were plenty of dishes,utensils,service wear, pots,pans,etc.The upstairs:full bath and half bath are adjacent to the living area.The upstairs beds are very comfy,with nice furniture and finishing.The sheets and towels are all very new and fluffy.The primary bathroom is huge, with a large Jacuzzi and the separate shower.The bathroom has a zen vibe-very relaxing.The half-bath is convenient with a crowd.We walked down the steps to the river,enjoyed the scenic fall views of the RR.Fun!The owner was delightful to work with & gave us plenty of info,good directions.Very helpful!

“Wonderful Place” We went as a family in the beginning of summer for a few days away. Everything was as described. The dining area was perfect to fit all of us together for a family dinner. The deck is perfect to sit and relax with a great view of lake. Everything you need for a BBQ was provided. The living room has a large fireplace , which we used even in the summer! The dock was a little bit of a walk, but well worth it. It is right on the lake with a table to sit and enjoy the lake. The owner was very accessible for any questions we had during our stay. Would definitely rent the place again! Very reasonable for a home so close to lake.

“It's a very cozy and nice place. Owner is very responsible and r” My friends and I stayed at Kristina's place for a nice summer weekend getaway! The cabin was very clean and perfect for the five of us! Bedrooms provide privacy and the yard outside is very nice for hanging out! We rode bikes, played frisbee and enjoyed the picnic table while grilling. Kristina even has an extensive DVD collection to watch. Bathroom was remodeled and very nice. This cabin is a great place for friends and family to gather while in Big Bear! The lake is a very simple bike ride away. The house was close enough to town and easy to get to. We would definately come back again :)

“Fun Bachelor Weekend” This house was fantastic. We brought 11 guys up for my brother's bachelor party weekend. It was the perfect place for us to stay altogether (comfortably). There were more than enough beds and the kitchen was nice and large. In addition to its size, the location was great - close enough to the general store and the golf course. I highly recommend Heidi's Retreat (and Pine Mountain Club, generally) for a weekend of golf, hiking and even jousting!

“Fabuuulous!” My family and I stay at this great 'house'to celebrate my husband's birthday. It could not have been a better place for all of us to do this. Everything in the house was there for us to partake - only thing missing was some good dish towels, but I was prepared for that (carried my own). Not much I can add to fabuuuloous!

“Home from home” At the end of our touring holiday in California, when deciding which had been our favourite location and accomodation, this one came out tops with everyone (mum, dad, and 2 teenagers). Our main reason for going to the area was to visit Yosemite National Park, where we spent two long days. It seemed a shame that we didn't have more time to spend in this beautiful home in its peaceful location. Both of the park entrances were almost an hour away, but through beautiful countryside, so for us it was part of trip. However if someone was wanting to make an early start on some of the trails, they might wish they had chosen a closer location. Mariposa itself was a lovely town, full of character, but we made the mistake of leaving exploring it to the morning we left - and discovered that nothing opened till after 10am - and we couldn't hang around that long. The house was great, and we were completely undisturbed. Having two bathrooms helped speed up our departure each morning. And the two teenagers were glad to have separate beds instead of having to share a double. The big washer and dryer were great (this was the half way point on our tour - we were running low on clean clothes!). The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in - I wished I could take it home! Eating outside every morning and evening, in complete privacy (except for the morning visit by the wild turkeys)and quiet, was wonderful. There was absolutely everything we needed, (and a few things we didn't need - like a karaoke machine!) a real home from home.

“Good Stay” The room was great!! 2bdrm fully furnished . Plenty of space. The room was clean and aesthetically appealing. Staff was friendly and helpful. Pools were a little shallow and water was a bit cold. Not much in regards to on site dining options. Location was easy walking distance to the Strip. Might consider staying here again depending on my needs.
