“Awesome Cabin!!” My husband and I rented this property for the July 4th weekend. His sister and her husband traveled with us. At first we thought we were going to the end of the Earth, but after finding the cabin we were all very pleased. It was very nice! Clean, spacious, and private. Giving each couple their own bedroom and bathroom. Best of all, Liz, is an amazing hostess, checking in with us daily to be sure everything was perfect. I would highly recommend this cabin for a nice relaxing weekend.

“Wonderful cabin!” My husband and I stayed here with our teen aged daughter for our older daughters wedding. The cabin is gorgeous. The decks are wonderful, large and comfortable. Beautifully furnished, all the comforts of home. It was a great place to relax and unwind after the wedding 'chaos'! Will definitely stay again.

“The perfect getaway location!” I cannot say enough nice things about this rental property- from the first email contact to the last, the Millers were outstanding with communication. The property offers a fantastic view of the valley that hypnotizes- before you know it, you've sat on the porch rocking the afternoon away. The cabin itself had everything you could ask for and more- just bring the food and you're good to go. The kitchen was well equipped with cooking utensils & I was able to cook two nights/one morning there without needing a certain pot, pan, or spatula. The living room was cosy and there was enough t.v. channel variety to keep my teenage boys occupied during the short rainy period. The cabin was centrally located and we visited a mine, movie theater, grocery store, arcade, and several restaurants in the area all with in 20-30 minutes, many much less. I plan on making a return trip as soon as I can!

“Nice and Cozy” We had a great time during Spring Break 2014. We wanted to do something a little different with grandkids this year, and this Cottage was perfect. (We normally go to Gatlinburg) Cottage sits right on the river with the deck actually out over the river. Hot tub was well taken care of and located where we had a nice view of the river. We didn't realize we had scheduled opening day of trout fishing season, but we took advantage, and my son caught several nice fish right on the property. I enjoyed the fact that the cottage is a part of history, (Former Bat Cave Post Office), yet everything was updated with new fixtures and electronics. The beds slept great, and the grand kids loved the game room. Chimney Rock State Park and little downtown area are just a few minutes from the cottage on the same road. We were a little concerned about available dining close by, but were pleasantly surprised with the variety of options. Also used the available stainless Weber grill on the deck. I am certain we will return later in the summer. The owners were very nice, and made us feel like we were appreciated. Overall a very nice and relaxing vacation. (The massage chair was a bonus when I could get the kids out of it)

“Excellent get away” It was a very nice cabin with a wonderful view. Everything is nice and clean. Such a pleasure to stay in. We most definitely will be staying their again. A fast response to my inquiry witch was very helpful. Overall a impressive place to stay.

“Perfect Trip!” We did not travel far from where we are from, but we felt like we had escaped to the most beautiful part of the middle of nowhere. Everything you forgot or might have forgotten was available, and the six of us (8 one night) slept completely comfortably. We have already inquired about returning in summers and winters to come. We were secluded, and the yard was perfect for our endless bocce ball games. Very worth it!

“Unbelievable location and did so many things at this unique cabi” Easy to check in and out. The outside and inside look even better in person. The way it was designed & decorated was so creative with all the small touches around the cabin. Very clean throuhout the cabin and on the outside. The location was perfect. Anything you could ever want to do: Golfing, hiking, fishing, skiing, tubing, canoeing, and site seeing. At the community center you can even play volleyball, basketball and other activities. They have 24 hour security in this gating community with partrol cars. I loved the fire pit in the backyard of the cabin and it has the biggest loft I have ever seen. You could walk out the cabin and start hiking on the trails. River in the back and a huge lake steps away. I'm so glad that we decided on this cabin for our vacation. Thank you very much to the River Cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

“Beautiful cozy bungalow, the perfect getaway” This was the PERFECT place to stay! The bungalow itself was cozy and had everything we needed, it was very hard to leave such a beautiful relaxing place. My only regret was not staying a few more nights! I can't wait to get another chance to spend some time up at the bungalows. I will definitely be back!!

“Loved this place” I rented this place for family coming into town. We all absolutely loved it! The house is very nice and new. The yard was big enough for the kids to run around and they really enjoyed playing on the zip line. There was plenty of room for our party of five. The kitchen had plenty of cookware and dishes. “Wish I could live here!!!” My husband and I stayed here for an extended weekend with our five year old son. We have stayed in numerous cabins throughout the Boone area and this one is by far, the best one yet! The cabin has all of the amentities of a home, just bring your clothes and some food and you're all set! The cabin is very comfy, tastefully decorated and in a perfect location. We were far enough away from Boone to truly relax yet there is a grocery store five minutes away. We grilled out each evening on the wonderful wrap around deck. The sunset view from the deck and hot tub are absolutely amazing! I wish I could experience this every evening! My son fell in love with the hot tub, we could not get him out of there!! We truly appreciate the little things about this cabin. There were fun games, Netflix access (which was great for our son!!), etc. My husband was impressed with the surprise beer he found waiting for us and I enjoyed the complimentary wine :) This is truly a home away from home. I was very sad to leave and we will definitely be back, hopefully very soon :)

“Fantastic” It rained all weekend but we didn't care. Such a cozy, warm cabin with the rushing stream and waterfall just outside the door. What a wonderful little place, the interior decor has been done professionally and with quality furnishings.

“We will be back!” We so enjoyed our stay at this lakefront cabin for the last two weeks of May, and were grateful we were able to bring our fur-kid, Daisy. She enjoyed swimming, fetching, and dock diving in the lake almost as much as we enjoyed watching her! So quiet and peaceful here, with a beautiful view of the lake from the front wall of windows. Comfy furniture, well-equipped kitchen, nice large deck, easy access to town - it was all we wanted and needed for our vacation. The weather was perfect for most of our stay, which we spent out on the deck or down by the water with friends we were visiting (they live in Murphy), and we were amazed so few people were out enjoying it on a long holiday weekend - we had the lake to ourselves much of the time! Phyllis and Pete were great hosts, and made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay perfect. We will definitely stay here again during our next trip to Murphy.
