“Hidden Gem” Stumbled upon Reva's place just looking last minute for accommodations for the night, but we found so much more. The property is gorgeous, not too far outside of Asheville but far enough away to see every star in the sky. The animals were a fun touch and the trails around the property were great. She offers a ton of spiritual healing packages that I'd like to come back and take advantage of, the only thing we used was the hot tub that was tucked away on the property and was wonderful to watch the stars at night. Would definitely recommend!

“Awe Inspired!” The cabin was wonderful. The Bison feeding was so much fun ,one of the Alpha males had such an assured look in his eyes it was almost regal. The bison burgers were to die first! While in the hotbed which is really nice BTW, we looked up and the sky looked like God himself filled the entire sky thick with glitter that's how many stars there were.When my dog went out here came the grey mini pony and my dog licked it's nose, I think they wanted to elope....LOL The Mtn Goats & Liamas were fun as well. We couldn't remember the last time we were so relaxed. We love Bison Overlook Lodge & we will be back!

“Amazing views” We loved staying at this cabin! Very convient to the ski resort. Unfortunately we didn’t have much snow this trip but the cabin had many things for us to all enjoy. We will definitely return back :) It was very clean and the owners were amazing to deal with! Thanks!

“New River Ramble” This was a great time for the entire family. We attended the ASU football game, but until that time we enjoyed all the amenities of the home. The New River, the fire pit, the hot tub, the game room, the bicycles, etc. were enjoyed by everyone. This place has everything you could imagine you would need. We will be back! :)

“Everything you need!” Great rental for our family weekend. Good location! Beth was great, made renting a breeze. Cabin is cute, well maintained and has everything you might need. Hot tub was great, fire pit next to the creek was very relaxing. Would certainly rent again.

“Wonderful and Quiet Cabin” The cabin was wonderful and high on a hill where it was very quiet. The cabin is central to Cherokee, Cashiers and Dillsboro which are the places we visited. The cabin was really nice and we enjoyed sitting out on the balcony and seeing 2 baby deer eat each morning. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of places to sleep. The TVs were a little tricky and we never figured out how to be able to watch TV even with the instructions that were left there. Also, you will be warned about the steep drive up which is very scary at first but once you do it a few times it gets less scary. We did arrive at 4:00 PM for check-in but was told when we pulled up that they were still cleaning the cabin. After a 4 hour drive to get to the cabin we stood for an hour in the driveway until 5:00 PM waiting for it to finished being cleaned. I did call the property manager as I was instructed to do in the email I had received, but I did not get an answer. I emailed the property owner to inform him that we were not able to check in on time and was told by the owner that the property manager was his mom who was cleaning the cabin. He did offer to allow us to stay an extra hour at check out which we took full advantage of. The cabin was clean and so it did not ruin our trip.

“A Magnificent stay in the Great Smokey Mountains!!” We had a lovely time visiting your cabin! The panoramic views were breathtaking!! There were many options for us to relax. Indoors and out there were comfortable sitting areas. A large and well equipped kitchen, and dining area for entertaining. Outdoors we enjoyed the hot tub, the fire pit, breathtaking views and starry nights. Your home was beautifully decorated and the beds were very cozy. We were happily secluded but just a drive down the mountain to town if needed. Thank you for sharing you beautiful mountain home with us!! Looking forward to another stay at your Water Rock Retreat!!

“Great family retreat with a great view.” This house is situated high enough that you have a great view of the mountain ranges out the great room windows. Enjoyed the large deck and gas grill. If the weather had been a little nicer it would have been a great area to hang out in the evening. We really enjoyed our weekend there. We would stay again if we were back in the area.

“Best anniversary yet.” We brought our extended family to the Ferguson House for our 39th anniversary. Everyone loved staying here, it was large enough to accomodate all of us. The patio area with firepit, hot tub, waterfall, and views were particularily enjoyed in the evening. We cooked out on the gas grill and had a great time indoors and outdoors. We all would highly recommend Ferguson House. Thanks for letting us stay here. Hope to come back same time next year for our 40th anniversary.

“At least as good as advertised” When we arrived, we were met with a friendly smile, a lot of information, a good quick tour of the location, and a bottle of wine with two glasses. We wanted a pet friendly place, and I kind of expected some evidence of other pets - smell, scratches, etc. We found nothing of the kind. Which is great when one of us also has asthma and would be sensitive to a dirty place. For the holiday season, they even had a tree in the corner. The fireplace is great. The great room is huge. And the views were terrific. The bedrooms were more than enough for us. Master bedroom was huge and kids enjoyed the second floor space with two twin beds and a TV. We came to visit the asheville river arts district and to take our kids on the Great Smoky RailRoad Polar Express Tour. Both events were close enough. But we also stopped by the Biltmore and the National GingerBread House Contest at the Grove Park Inn. (Got a nice tip - pay for a morning massage at the Grove Park and get use of their spa facilities all day). I'm a runner, so the high grade gravel road to the house was not to my liking for that. Altitude, steep hill, thin road that was a bit slippery. But I also went just a bit higher than the house to the RV Campground and not only found great hilltop views, but also tons of trails that wound around the hills. These would be terrific for exploring with the kids and dogs on another trip. We will definitely look to this house first for a return trip. I should note that though the house felt very remote, anything we wanted was close by. We had a need for a pharmacy and groceries right away and they were quick to get to. We even found a decent Thai restaurant in a strip mall close by. Other restaurants looked good. But the proximity to downtown and the River arts area was surprising. Had to be only three highway exits away and no traffic.

“Everything you need to enjoy your stay. The view was amazing.” Wonderful in everyway. The views fantastic and the drive up amazing. I can not say enough good thins about this place.

“Relaxing and rejuvinating” My husband, six month old daughter and I spent the weekend here in May. It was outstanding. Kendall, the owner, was warm and welcoming from the minute we stepped out of the car. She provided us with maps of her property, which you can hike and explore. We especially enjoyed the koi pond and just sitting on the porch swing. The views are amazing from the porch and deck. The cabin is in Fairview, NC which is about 20 minutes away from Asheville. It is the perfect location, far enough away to feel as if you are the only ones around, but close enough to downtown to run in for dinner. You don't have to, however, because there is a restaurant, The Local Joint, about 5 minutes away. They have a variety of local food and organic entrees. Excellent. Kendall is a licensed massage therapist and yoga instructor. We were able to get massages for both my husband and myself, which were fantastic. I also opted to take a private yoga lesson, which was awesome. I am a super-beginner, and she was able to make the class both on my level and enjoyable. We got the "relaxation weekend" which I highly recommend. The massage and yoga class (or sauna treatment) come with the cabin price. There is a hot tub which we were unable to use (because we needed to watch the baby), but looked very inviting. Overall, I would give this vacation spot 5 stars, more if I could!

“What a nice little getaway place!” Dealing with Shirley was very easy and I appreciate her working with me on a last minute decision to rent a log home. A lot of house rentals want advance notice, and will not let you stay for only one evening, you have to book for 3 days minimum. Shirley's house worked great for a last minute get away for my girlfriends Birthday. The following day we got up and went sight seeing. Very nice quiet area to get away from your daily life! Would highly recommend Shirley and her Beautiful house.

“The perfect trip! Awesome!” Wife and I recently spent our 15th anniversary in "A Mountain Dream"...and, it was a dream, indeed! Cozy, quaint, a true "cabin feel"...beautiful views and plenty of privacy. Terri was more than wonderful to work with...she was patient and understanding with all my questions...she made the entire process extremely easy. We plan on returning this fall! Thank you, Terri! “A Relaxing Mountain Escape for the Whole Family” My family (two sets of parents, myself, my husband and aunt) all stayed here in October for a fall getaway. The home itself was very nice. We loved the high ceilings, the large family room and the long dining room table. There were even some games and puzzles that we enjoyed. The living room had a nice wood burning fire place that kept us warm in the evenings. The was a small TV upstairs, but we couldn't get it to work, so we had to retire to the family room downstairs if there was a desire to watch TV. The quality of the TV in the family room downstairs was wonderful! It was a nice large, HD flatscreen, which was perfect for watching Sunday football. There is another fire place downstairs. We also enjoyed the large outside deck and a dip in the hot tub with a glass of wine, which was a relaxing treat. The house is close a grocery store, which was very conveinent and downtown asheville is only about a 10 minute drive. The place was clean and well appointed.

“Relax- you've found your cabin” Just what we needed to get away from it all for a few days. Clean, well furnished cabin that had all the essentials plus some nice extras in case you forgot some things. Truly spectacular setting with outstanding views. Ten minute drive to downtown, with its mix of trendy and traditional shops, restaurants and galleries. John and Judy are friendly and helpful- willing to offer dining suggestions or directions- but never overbearing. Manageable drive to either the mountains or to asheville to expand your visit options. Close to hiking, fishing and other activities, or you can just relax in the hot tub or by the fire and take it all in. The pace is up to you

“Beautiful cozy bungalow, the perfect getaway” This was the PERFECT place to stay! The bungalow itself was cozy and had everything we needed, it was very hard to leave such a beautiful relaxing place. My only regret was not staying a few more nights! I can't wait to get another chance to spend some time up at the bungalows. I will definitely be back!!
