Ilikai Marina 780 Ocean Front Corner 2 X the View!

Honolulu apartment

“Perfect modern condo with breathtaking views!” Our stay at # 780 couldn't have been better. The condo is just beautiful with everything you need right there. The location is fabulous, and Janna is the perfect owner/hostess. She answered all of our questions straight away, and was available at any time if we needed her. The decor is beautiful and clean, and the condo is equipped with everything you need, although with so many wonderful restaurants close by we hardly used the fully equipped kitchen. The views are to die for, with magnificent sunsets every night and front row seats for the Friday nights fireworks. We used the Ilikai Hotel Tour desk for booking our tours and there were passes for the hotel pool which we used when we didn't swim in the ocean. I would most definitely stay there again and have recommended it to my friends.

“You will be very happy you stayed here” We are very experienced travelers and also rent our vacation home so have a perspective on both sides of this equation. We are a family of four with two teenage daughters (ages 14 and 13 at time of the stay). If you rent from Patty you will be very happy you made the decision. 1) Hosts - Patty was so welcoming, friendly and helpful without ever being intrusive. She was a wealth of knowledge and was so willing to share her insights to ensure we hit the best spots at the right times to ensure a great experience. 2) Apartment - The pictures are very accurate so you really get what you see. The apartment has very "homey" feeling. The decor is local and tasteful, the kitchen fully equipped. The Lanai had really nice breezes and sunrises. It also had hooks which came in handy when drying things. While we didn't watch much TV there were plenty of options (cable, netflix, pandora) as well as a small stereo system. There were games to play, books to read (including several on Hawaii that we loved), and the all-important washer/dryer. 3) The Stuff - One of the things we loved about the apartment was the plethora recreational toys at our disposal. Beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, snorkels, masks, coolers, sup's, Kayaks, bikes, etc. If you needed it, they had it which was huge for a family that spent everyday on the ridiculously nice beaches a short drive away. 4) The Location - Check it out on the map. It sits just above town in a neighborhood. It is not walking distance from the beach or town but a 5 minute drive (and free street parking) gets you there before you know it. It is walking distance to a great yoga co-op (Aloha Yoga Kula) which we went to several times and loved. Some may want to be closer to the action but we found the location close enough. All in all, this is a fantastic rental and we thought a great value. The personal touch offered by Patty puts it over the top. Do yourself a favor and book it before someone else does!

“Location, Location, Location!” The condo is just a short walk to the beach which we enjoyed daily. It's close to many great restaurants offering a variety of cuisines. We caught the bus right outside the door for travel to all of our sightseeing destinations. With a grocery store just a few blocks away we had easy access to the things we needed to prepare most of our meals in the kitchen. We loved having breakfast and coffee out on the lanai each morning looking out at the ocean view. The condo was clean and comfortable. The manager was quick to respond. We look forward to going back!

“"Lovely"” We stayed at Suite Aloha in September for 11 days. The room was spacious, airy and very comfortable. There was a huge ceiling fan to cool the entire room throughout the day and night. We were awakened by the sweet fragrance of plumeria as it floated through the windows every morning. Lovely! Sabine thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. We were welcomed with fresh fruit and a Beautiful arrangement of fresh Hawaiian flowers. There were beach items available for us to use including a beach umbrella, chairs, mats and beach bag. The location was ideal. We could easily walk to Kailua Beach or to Kailua town. Kailua town has plenty of upscale shops and restaurants. There was even a brand new Target there. We would definitely stay there again. It was lovely!

Punaluu Beach 1bd/1ba Condo, #401

Punaluu apartment

  • 1 bedroom
  • 1 bathroom

“Relaxing stay in Punalu'u” Our family stayed in condo #401, it was perfect and exceeded our expectations. The condo has everything you need and more. We had an incredible vacation. The condo has a gorgeous view of the ocean and a big, comfy balcony to sit on and enjoy the view! It's just a short walk across the lawn to the water. The condo itself is lovely and clean with a complete kitchen, not lacking anything a cook would need. We had a lot of meals in the condo and that helps too if you're on a special diet or just want to save on meals. The beds are very comfortable too! It's the perfect place for a family with kids to stay, everything you need is there, even a washer and dryer! Punalu'u is serene and beautiful. We plan on returning soon!

“Beautiful, clean, spacious condo with amazing views and location” My husband and I stayed in this condo with our 2 boys as well as his parents. We found that we had lots of room for all of us. The unobstructed views from the 2 lanais were absolutely beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice. The kitchen was well stocked and we had more than enough towels and linens. ( bring your own beach towel though or buy some for a souvenir) Our boys enjoyed using the snorkelling gear. The double beds were a touch hard for my tastes but comfortable enough. The location was perfect for us. The beach was within easy walking distance and we enjoyed swimming in the lagoon as well. I would absolutely recommend this condo, we would love to return! Thank you Dainora for a wonderful stay and ease of rental.

“Excellent Location and Home” Our family of four had an absolutelly wonderful week at this condominium. “Beautiful Waikiki” Great location, central waikiki, close to everything, beaches, restaurants, grocery shopping, entertainmwnt. The most beautiful view from the large lanai, beach chairs, boogie boards. Very quiet unit on the 30th floor. LOVE the warm water pool. Definitely want to come back soon and stay longer.

Ala Moana Hotel rivaled Condo

Honolulu condo

  • 1 bedroom

“Great central location” Cozy condo, well provisioned with cooking supplies, linens and towels. The owner was very responsive to questions and called during my stay to be sure all was well. The room is small and I'm not sure how 4 people would fit as there was a queen size bed and a chair that converted to a single bed. The sliding glass doors make the room feel larger but there is no balcony. As it is located next to the Ala Moana center, food, shopping and transportation are readily available. The bus system is very easy to use.

About Waikiki

Waikiki has a long-standing reputation as one of the most popular vacation destinations in the United States. Part of the city of Honolulu, Waikiki has a huge surfing culture, great native cuisine and notoriously friendly locals. The three main streets in the area are Kalakaua Avenue, Kuhio Avenue, and Ala Wai Boulevard, each of them offering restaurants serving authentic Hawaiian cuisine and unique shops. If you're trying to navigate the area, you're more likely to hear "mauka" or "makai" than "north" or "south." Just remember, "mauka" means towards the mountains and "makai" means towards the water.

While you're in Waikiki, make time for some of these must-see attractions and destinations:

  • Diamond Head Crater: This ancient volcanic crater towers over Waikiki and is one of the main landmarks of the island.
  • Honolulu Zoo: This zoo houses many exotic creatures native only to Hawaii.
  • Waikiki Aquarium: This aquarium is the third oldest in the U.S. and is home to hundreds of different types of species.
  • Go Surfing: Just about every beach in the area has places to rent boards and take lessons with local surfing pros.
  • Kapiolani Park: In addition to being the biggest park in Waikiki, Kapiolani Park is also home to the Waikiki Shell Amphitheater that holds concerts and performances throughout the year.
  • Go to the Beach: Of course, no vacation in Waikiki would be complete without spending time sampling some of the beautiful beaches in the area like Waikiki Beach and Kahanamoku Beach.

It seems like not a day goes by without a major event or festival taking place in either Waikiki or Honolulu. Some of these main festivals include the Ala Wai Challenge in January, an all-day event that features traditional Hawaiian games including spear throwing and an outrigger canoe race; the King Kamehameha Hula Competition in June, arguably the biggest hula competition in the world; and the Honolulu Marathon in December, which typically draws more than 30,000 competitors from all over the world.

Luckily, no matter what time of year you decide to visit, you'll have no trouble finding a vacation rental in Waikiki. With homes ranging from luxury high-rise apartments with top-of-the-line amenities and views of the beach to spacious condos within walking distance of all the local dining and shopping options, there's a vacation rental that's right for you in Waikiki.
