“Best family holiday we have had in ages” This is a really lovely place. The pool area and cabana are private and very user friendly. Beach in the morning and sheltered pool area in the afternoon, ideal with 3 teenagers. Bedrooms are spacious and everything works. We didn't bother with a/c just opened the house up and used the ceiling fans. Plenty of living space and room for people to do their own thing if they wanted to. Close to most things but far enough away from noise and crowds. It helps that Maui is absolutely brilliant. Andrew leaves you alone but is readily available to help with any minor issues. The kids said it was the best family holiday they have been on in ages. We agree.

“Breathtaking and Serene!” Wow! We fell in love with the Waipio house as soon as we drove into the driveway. What a breathtaking view. The owners were SO helpful, and sweet. The property manager Danele made us feel right at home, and made sure that we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We loved every second of our time spent here. We had all the amenties, you could dream of. Including a LOVELY bbq that we put to good use! We will very much recommend this place to family and friends. This is the PLACE to stay in Waipio. And the best place I've ever stayed on the big island!!

“The best...” Thank you to the owners for supplying us with everything we could possibly require for a beach vacation. Your attention to detail is exceptional. The use of the beach towels to the usage of snorkel and surf gear made the difference. Just meant one less thing for us to worry about. Your home is the cleanest ... “Absolument Magnifique!” Visited from the South of France in January 2013 and just loved it! These buccolic and splendid homestead, far enough from the heat and crowds of Kona, is set in the middle of rolling pastures, with a splendid view of the ocean! The cabin is rustic, yet refined and extremely comfortable! Chris and Carol have a wonderful eye for details and a great sense of aesthetics. The house is located near the charming and laid back town of Hawi which, by the way, has a gorgeous banyan tree, and a lovely farmers market under it, where Chris and his band play bluegrass music! It doesn't get any better...This is truly paradise!!!

“Beautiful Home” The setting and view is spectacular. All the rooms were very nice. We enjoyed the pool table upstairs, although be careful as there is a flaw in the slate and the cue ball can go flying! The Sonos music system is also great. The backyard is perfect. Lots of pool toys. We enjoyed the evenings watching the stars. We did have a few minor issues. We had 3 adult couples and it wasn't clear that two of the bedrooms had a shared bath. The other bath was across the hall. We had expected private baths for each bedroom. The showers are beautiful but water pressure is minimal. Lastly, it seems that pool and hot tub controls are managed by the owner down below. The pool light would turn off and if you wanted to swim late, we couldn't find a pool light switch. Lastly, we didn't have heat in the hot tub the first day/night and requested help from the owner. No response. The pool maintenance person fixed it for us the next day. Even with these minor issues, I would recommend the home again. It is beautiful and has stunning views. We enjoyed the fruit trees, too.

“Hawaii home away from home.” Service was excellent: prompt, thorough and pleasant. The room was as presented in the pictures, and was so clean and well supplied, it felt like home within minutes of arriving. Location is as stated, except that it was a 15 minute drive, not 10 minutes, to downtown Kona where all the restaurants and hotels are. It is very well situated for getting to other places on the island. The area is quiet. Just received a new road. I can't think of a single thing we didn't like.

“Perfect House for Family Trip!” My family and I spent seven nights at the house and had a simply amazing time. The house is lovely and spacious. We had all three suites for our group of 12 (which included three children) and felt that we had plenty of room the entire time. The ambience is relaxing and the house is well cared for and well stocked with everything you need for your vacation. And you can't beat the location - just a block and a half to the beach and a few extra blocks to the shops and restaurants Hanalei. We loved every second of our time there and can't wait to go back.

“Restful Vacation in Paradise” We were fortunate to have almost two weeks to enjoy this lovely home located just a few minutes walk from beautiful Po'ipu Beach. We enjoyed hours on the lanai over coffee in the AM, and cocktails in the evening. Our long flight from the east coast meant our bodies were ready for the day at 5AM so we took advantage by observing the amazing stars giving way to the sunrise on both Shipwreck and Po'ipu beaches. The helpful hints inside the house binder gave us directions to some "off the grid" activities like waterfall hikes and rope swings - which our teenagers loved. (Bear in mind that the directions assume you're coming from Lihue, not the house - so plan your route accordingly!) The layout of the house is perfect for privacy whether you are traveling with teens or other couples. The house was stocked with the essentials and then some, which made our trip relaxed and fun. We didn't need to contact the caretakers during our trip, as everything we could have needed had been anticipated and provided for -the house was spotless upon arrival and easy to maintain while we were there. We can't wait to return.

“Home away From Home” If anyone is looking for a relaxing retreat, this is the place for you. The location of this property is quiet and yet is within close proximity of places such as Turtle Bay Resort (excellent golfing) and North Shore Sunset Beach and Haleiwa. The Bus even stops right in front on both sides of the street allowing one a cheap ride ($2.50) in either direction. Everything I needed was provided and the owner was quite approachable regarding any concerns or questions that I had. I would recommend this property to anyone that is looking less for luxury but more for a home away from home getaway.

“Serenity in Maui” My husband and I spent eight days at this lovely property, and quite simply, was the best house rental, and the best vacation we have ever taken. There are not enough words to tell you how beautiful the home is with all the stunning landscaping, yummy fruit trees,and great, private saltwater pool. The home is immaculate, and luxurious. Extremely clean, and absolutely stunning. Very comfortably furniture and great beds. Claudia, the owner is charming, and will be there when you need her for anything.
