“Execellent and affordable place to stay in Kona.” We have stayed here five times in past seven years. It is definitely our favorite place to stay in Kona. We have visited every Hawaiian island except Lanai. The Big Island is our favorite and the Kona Makai is a wonderful, beautiful, quite and relaxing place to stay. Grills are located on the ocean front. Excellent sunsets with the occasional "green flash." Walk to town, restaurants, church, numerous beaches and stores. We highly recommend it to family and friends.

“Great spot for a relaxing vacation.” This is our second visit to #307. We spent four weeks relaxing and unwinding. Jim and Sue made sure everything was perfect and kept in touch as the islands were in the path of Hurricanes Iselle and Julio, which fortunately didn't affect us at Kahana. We look forward to our next visit to Maui.

“A decision you won't regret!” We recently stayed in E-6 and absolutely loved it. From the ease of being able to book the condo to the great service we received from Mike. He was always willing to help with all and any questions I had with not only the condo, but our entire trip. The pictures do not do this unit justice, everything worked out better than could be expected! The beach is peaceful and only a short walk from the front door, full of beautiful fish and turtles. The condo is a very short drive from Lahaina and only a couple blocks from a grocery store. If you are looking for a great getaway with all the amenities of home, this is exactly what your looking for! Can't wait to go back and definitely will be staying at Kahana Sunset!!

“Beautiful, clean, spacious condo with amazing views and location” My husband and I stayed in this condo with our 2 boys as well as his parents. We found that we had lots of room for all of us. The unobstructed views from the 2 lanais were absolutely beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice. The kitchen was well stocked and we had more than enough towels and linens. ( bring your own beach towel though or buy some for a souvenir) Our boys enjoyed using the snorkelling gear. The double beds were a touch hard for my tastes but comfortable enough. The location was perfect for us. The beach was within easy walking distance and we enjoyed swimming in the lagoon as well. I would absolutely recommend this condo, we would love to return! “Great” We arrived late after 3 weeks in usa mainland, where we did not stop. Getting our keys and into theunit was so easy. It was so close to get to everything from the unit. We had a family of five and with the sofa bed out it was quite tight. Maybe not so many little tables and trinkets. But that would be our only complaint. Everything was just as the photos showed and a great place for a family. We went and did food shopping at safeway, but then found Wallmart cheaper. Thanks heaps for having us

“Home away from home.” My third time staying at the condo. Love the location right next to the Whaler's Shops, great value and the beautiful beach just a few steps away from your balcony. Every time I call Larry to make my reservations he is very courteous and helpful. Always a great vacation!!!

“Location, Location, Location!” The condo is just a short walk to the beach which we enjoyed daily. It's close to many great restaurants offering a variety of cuisines. We caught the bus right outside the door for travel to all of our sightseeing destinations. With a grocery store just a few blocks away we had easy access to the things we needed to prepare most of our meals in the kitchen. We loved having breakfast and coffee out on the lanai each morning looking out at the ocean view. The condo was clean and comfortable. The manager was quick to respond. We look forward to going back!

“Perfect Location” This really was Perfect! This place was clean and well stocked for your Honolulu get-a-way! Sunrise on the balcony, nice large vanity area, full kitchen, and all the beach toys too! Convenience stores right down the block and a 5 minute walk to the beach! A safe and secure place to relax during the day, on the pool deck, if you want...but I spent every day at the beach! Lots of shopping and restaurants all around, and bus stops right out front, so no car needed. Mahalo Gary, your place made it a perfect vacation!

“You Should Be Here!!!” Within the pat 2 years, we have experienced an amazing time in Lahaina. Julie is an amazing person to deal with. Her hospitality has always been sincere and genuine. The condo location is ideal good people. Everything is within walk-in distance. “A perfect trip...” Our stay in Kihei was like a dream… The condo was exactly as described, clean, beautiful, affordable, and the view on the ocean… incredible! We received a warm welcome by the staff and the owner, they made it easy for us, we had anything we needed. The kitchen was complete and we cooked a lot. All the furniture was very comfortable, but the best of it…. During sunset, walking on the beach, which is just down the lanai of this nice condo…

“Amazing” My wife and I used the cottage for our honeymoon. Our stay was perfect, the cottage was well located on the best side of the island with shopping, food, gas and beaches nearby. The cottage had all the appliances and amenities we needed for our week stay. There are many places to stay on the island but this cottage is amazing it is your own little place away from the bustling overcrowded homogenized resorts. Our favorite town, Hanalei, was just down the road where the views, bay, beach, shopping and eats were all top notch. Reserving and booking the cottage was a breeze with Val and Bruce, ensuring a worry free trip. I would highly recommend the cottage to any couple wanting to get away, but not be trapped in a resort! My wife and I certainly plan on visiting again. Mahalo Val and Bruce for the amazing getaway!

“The Perfect Spot” We absolutely LOVED our stay in this condo, and if we get to go back, will definitely stay there! It was in a nice neutral location, perfect location for beach AND pool access, and beautiful views in the evenings and mornings! The condo had everything we needed, and worked great with our delivery service for our children's needs. The only bummer would be that the AC unit on the back patio blows really hot air, so you can't leave your sliding glass doors open in the morning because of the hot air blowing in.

“Great Sunset Views!” We loved the Kihei area, especially this quiet condo area of the island. This condo has a wonderful lanai overlooking the beautiful bay area, has a very well equipped, 2 beautiful bathrooms, comfy seating areas in the living room, small ice chest, 2 beach chairs & beach towels. The lawn area has plenty of loungers for sunset viewing or sunbathing. The condo is located at Keawakapu Beach, a great beach for swimming, boarding and walking. The pool at Kihei Surfside feels great after a day at the beach and the gas bbq area is clean and a really a quick walk from the unit. The laundry is clean with plenty of units. Be sure to save your quarters as it takes $2 to wash and $2 to dry. There is no change machine. Tips: Hana Hwy is a must - take time to go down the Nahiku Road for great ocean views, including cheap fruit and flower stands. The black sand beaches are great with a nice hike through lava fields. Met lots of folks that went all the way around through Kipahulu. They said it was a long day, but worth it. Go up to Haleakala to watch the sunrise and take the beautiful, crazy narrow road along Hwy 340 and 30 to go to the Olivine pools and Nakalele Blowhole, enjoy appetizers at the Five Palms located below the Mana Kai resort.

“Wonderful week in paradise!” The staff at ali'i Resorts is fantastic and helped us to plan fun adventures for our family throughout our stay. The housekeeping staff was attentitive and worked hard each day to help make our stay great. The property and condo were both very well maintained and beautiful- with spectacular views throughout. One of our favorite features was the patio and the amazing view that we enjoyed while dining outdoors. The beach access was convenient, just a short walk down a paved path to the beach that offered kid friendly boogie boarding waves and rock outcropings for snorkeling. We have stayed in a few of the luxury hotels in Wailea and prefer the relaxed environment of Makena Surf.
