“Over the moon” My husband and I stayed at this enchanting cottage for 10 days. I have to say I can not remember a time that we enjoyed ourselves more. Harry was awsome and very informative. The cottage had everything we needed and more. Harry had thought of everything from an Ice chest to snorkeling gear and more which was at our disposal. There were books about the island and maps and even suggestions on restaurants and grocery stores. I honestly can not think of one thing he has forgotten. The location is centrally located which made it easy for us to take a day trip and still be able to make it home before dark. We would definately stay here again and hope to very soon. “Loved Maui by the Sea!” Valerie, We loved our stay at the cottage. Couldn't have been better! Tavares beach was our favorite, just watching turtles and hanging out. Paia is a great town. “Absolutely Awesome!!!” Words cannot describe how much we loved our stay! From the lovely ocean view, the sound of the waves, the well stocked supplies (everything you could think of),the friendly and helpful hosts, the gorgeous weather, to the relaxation and rejuvenation we enjoyed, this place is wonderful. The only negative thing we could think of was that there was no way to slow down the time so we could enjoy it longer! We explored most of the Big Island, but this was one of our favorite spots. We celebrated our 10th anniversary here and would love to come back and revisit some of the many beautiful places we discovered. We spent many hours watching and listening to the waves, watching for and seeing whales, and experiencing the ocean. Another highlight was kayaking across the bay with many, many dolphins swimming all around us! If you have a chance, I highly recommend booking this place!

“Cozy retreat in paradise!” Oliana Cottage is a cozy retreat in paradise! Great place to stay and explore the parks and beaches of Puna. The cottage is secluded, quiet and just a minute or two walk to Kehena Black Sands Beach.

“The sound of the waves, right outside your door, are like a lull” We had a "rough time" getting here (mechanical problems with the plane, canceled flight, etc.) but the cottage soothed our tired souls! We found the drum of the waves to be the best lullaby and the fresh air and abundant sunshine to renew our spirits. We appreciated the personal art on the walls and the large open space. For folks who enjoy cooking with local produce, the well stocked kitchen, the large number of pots/pans/utensils, and the full sized refrigerator are perfect. There was plenty of hot water in the shower (and good water pressure!), the furniture was comfortable (brought back memories of beach houses from our childhood), and the large counter surface in the "dressing room" was perfect for all of our "stuff". We used the outdoor patio table for several breakfasts and dinners, watched a neighbor vacationer fish from the sea wall, and took daily walks on the nearly deserted beach. There were many informative books in the cottage along with maps, Dvds, etc. We used the guide books but were too busy enjoying Oahu to need any other form of entertainment! Although we have traveled extensively in the past few years, this was our first trip to Hawaii. We have already recommended the cottage to family and friends - thank you, Peter, for sharing your wonderful home.

“Even better than expected” I stayed at this cottage for 11 nights. I felt so much at home that I did not want to leave, not even to go to the beach. The views are stunning. It is very private and quiet. I really liked the sound of the water fall in the gulch below. The cottage offers anything one can dream of... fully equipped kitchen, washer, dryer, towels, beach chairs, sun umbrellas, deck chairs, BBQ, outside showers, TV, DVD and a very fast and stable internet. Haiku town is only a few minutes by car (3 minutes to be precise) where you can find groceries, restaurants and a fitness centre (which offers weekly and daily passes for tourists). Paia town and beaches can easily be reached within 15 minutes, Makawao town is also around the corner. Barbara and Hank, the owners of this beautiful property, are very nice people and extremely helpful.

“Wonderful house” Garden Island Properties generously helped us find a very last minute vacation rental. We really enjoyed our stay at the Hibiscus Hula, even with the rain :) It's a really great house!
