“Roomy, bright and cozy cabin in a beautiful setting - perfect ge” We had a really fun and relaxing few days at this cabin - it's minutes away from cute shops and great restaurants. Inside it has cozy furnishings, a washer/dryer and everything you could need in the kitchen. We kept a big fire going most of the time - especially when watching movies on the big screen tv! Outside, there's a big back deck, perfect for outdoor activities and barbeques. The yard right behind the deck is a great sledding hill and an there's a small alpine slide close by, not to mention the Bear Mountain slopes! Would recommend it for families, or for a quiet relaxing getaway.

“Immaculate and gorgeous "home away from home" cottage in Lake Pl” We had an amazing stay! Go-cottage, 2 bedroom was great and I felt like I was at home. The owner has a keen eye and excellent taste for design. Perfect location for Lake Placid horse show and other activities that we did such as hiking and biking. I would definitely stay here again and I recommend it to all of my friends.

“This is a gorgeous and spacious lake home with plenty of amentities for adults and child. 5 Stars!!!!” This property is on a gorgeous location on top of a small hill. The view of the lake from the house is breathtaking. Our group enjoyed our stay thoroughly and we took full advantage of the amenities in the property like out door fire pit, hammock, boats/kayak allowed by the home-owner to be used by us. The house has enough space--we were a group of 9 people and the space was ample however there is only one shower so that might be a limitation. the kitchen was very spacious and had all the stuff needed for cooking. It would have been nice if there was a functional grill for using outdoors--the one that was there was kind of old and did not work very well. There was some strange odor in the dishwasher but that might be because of its limited usage. Overall, this place is highly recommended for vacation stay. The owners were really nice and friendly and the view and location is absolutely spectacular! My Response Thank you for your kind words. I do want to say that we have replaced the outdoor grill. I'm sorry you had trouble with it. I checked the dishwater also but could not smell or see anything in the trap. We disconnected the plumbing to examine and clean. Whatever the odor was, it's gone. “Paridise In Big Bear” My husband and I went to the Chalet with our 2 dogs and had a great time. Kiyoe was very welcoming. The place was very clean and homey. “Charming, Cozy, Romantic Getaway!” My husband and I loved our stay in Idyllwild. Boulder Creek Cottage was cozy and beautifully decorated. The home was very clean and was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. They even provided coffee, which we forgot to bring with us. The location was beautiful and private yet only 2 minutes to town. The large deck was perfect for relaxing; Bbq's and star gazing at night. I can tell that the owner, Larry really takes great pride in this beautiful cottage. He was also very wonderful to work with and answered all of my questions promptly. “Beautiful! Relaxing! Perfect!” I spent 4th of July weekend with a group of friends at this wonderful mountain retreat, and it was all that we wished and more!! The views are spectacular, the private pond and the mountains added so much to our stay. It was like being on a private resort...the home had everything we needed to have fun and enjoy this long summer weekend, and we are already planning to return next year. Thank you so much for providing such an amazing spot for a long weekend getaway! And it must be noted how accommadating and easy it was to communicate with the owner and with flipkey whenever I had any questions-- 5 Stars!

“More than we expected, we will be back!” This is the perfect place to get away! We came in at night and I was nervous because I know how picky my boyfriend is about staying away from home. It was very clean the pictures don't do it justice. The hot tub was great. The inside was spacious. Chimney Rock was just down the road. We did a day of shopping and climbed all the way to the top of Chimney Rock and all the trails and came back and spent some much needed time in the hot tub and massage chair. The owners were right upstairs and we talked with them they were so nice however we couldn't tell there was anyone upstairs unless we went to them. I can't wait to go back!!! I need the sound of the river to put me to sleep again!

“This was the best house I've ever rented” Monica and John have provided a house in a great location and with everything that you could need for your stay. I was there to find a long term rental and a lot to build on because we are moving to Black Mountain in July. Monica provided me with the name of her realtor who turned out to be very helpful There are great restaurants in town and everyone I met was friendly and helpful. After very busy days this house and its front porch were the perfect place to come back to and relax

“Nice and Cozy” We had a great time during Spring Break 2014. We wanted to do something a little different with grandkids this year, and this Cottage was perfect. (We normally go to Gatlinburg) Cottage sits right on the river with the deck actually out over the river. Hot tub was well taken care of and located where we had a nice view of the river. We didn't realize we had scheduled opening day of trout fishing season, but we took advantage, and my son caught several nice fish right on the property. I enjoyed the fact that the cottage is a part of history, (Former Bat Cave Post Office), yet everything was updated with new fixtures and electronics. The beds slept great, and the grand kids loved the game room. Chimney Rock State Park and little downtown area are just a few minutes from the cottage on the same road. We were a little concerned about available dining close by, but were pleasantly surprised with the variety of options. Also used the available stainless Weber grill on the deck. I am certain we will return later in the summer. The owners were very nice, and made us feel like we were appreciated. Overall a very nice and relaxing vacation. (The massage chair was a bonus when I could get the kids out of it)

“Charming property inside and out with all the comforts of home” I recently stayed here with a group of friends looking for a short weekend getaway. The atmosphere was relaxed, everything functional, the beds comfortable, and the rooms clean and homey. Pat and Nadine were wonderful hosts and definitely put thought and effort in to creating an atmosphere that felt like home. Spacious rooms, bathroom, and a great meeting area downstairs with kitchen and dining area to hang out.

“Wonderful cabin!” My husband and I stayed here with our teen aged daughter for our older daughters wedding. The cabin is gorgeous. The decks are wonderful, large and comfortable. Beautifully furnished, all the comforts of home. It was a great place to relax and unwind after the wedding 'chaos'! Will definitely stay again.

“Location, Location, Location!” LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, From start to finish this Rental property was so Easy to rent. The owner Erik felt like someone I had know forever. Very personable and very attentive. Loved that it felt like home and not a museum you couldn't live in. I had My Daughters and they're husbands and 4 grandchildren and they all had such a great time. Loved that we were able to walk down to main street without having to drive and park. Thank you so much Erik, enjoyed your home and would most definitely stay there again. Maybe a Girlfriends weekend, next! :)
