“Wonderful and Quiet Cabin” The cabin was wonderful and high on a hill where it was very quiet. The cabin is central to Cherokee, Cashiers and Dillsboro which are the places we visited. The cabin was really nice and we enjoyed sitting out on the balcony and seeing 2 baby deer eat each morning. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of places to sleep. The TVs were a little tricky and we never figured out how to be able to watch TV even with the instructions that were left there. Also, you will be warned about the steep drive up which is very scary at first but once you do it a few times it gets less scary. We did arrive at 4:00 PM for check-in but was told when we pulled up that they were still cleaning the cabin. After a 4 hour drive to get to the cabin we stood for an hour in the driveway until 5:00 PM waiting for it to finished being cleaned. I did call the property manager as I was instructed to do in the email I had received, but I did not get an answer. I emailed the property owner to inform him that we were not able to check in on time and was told by the owner that the property manager was his mom who was cleaning the cabin. He did offer to allow us to stay an extra hour at check out which we took full advantage of. The cabin was clean and so it did not ruin our trip.

“Excellent get away” It was a very nice cabin with a wonderful view. Everything is nice and clean. Such a pleasure to stay in. We most definitely will be staying their again. A fast response to my inquiry witch was very helpful. Overall a impressive place to stay.

“Perfect Trip!” We did not travel far from where we are from, but we felt like we had escaped to the most beautiful part of the middle of nowhere. Everything you forgot or might have forgotten was available, and the six of us (8 one night) slept completely comfortably. We have already inquired about returning in summers and winters to come. We were secluded, and the yard was perfect for our endless bocce ball games. Very worth it!

“Relaxing and rejuvinating” My husband, six month old daughter and I spent the weekend here in May. It was outstanding. Kendall, the owner, was warm and welcoming from the minute we stepped out of the car. She provided us with maps of her property, which you can hike and explore. We especially enjoyed the koi pond and just sitting on the porch swing. The views are amazing from the porch and deck. The cabin is in Fairview, NC which is about 20 minutes away from Asheville. It is the perfect location, far enough away to feel as if you are the only ones around, but close enough to downtown to run in for dinner. You don't have to, however, because there is a restaurant, The Local Joint, about 5 minutes away. They have a variety of local food and organic entrees. Excellent. Kendall is a licensed massage therapist and yoga instructor. We were able to get massages for both my husband and myself, which were fantastic. I also opted to take a private yoga lesson, which was awesome. I am a super-beginner, and she was able to make the class both on my level and enjoyable. We got the "relaxation weekend" which I highly recommend. The massage and yoga class (or sauna treatment) come with the cabin price. There is a hot tub which we were unable to use (because we needed to watch the baby), but looked very inviting. Overall, I would give this vacation spot 5 stars, more if I could!

“The perfect trip! Awesome!” Wife and I recently spent our 15th anniversary in "A Mountain Dream"...and, it was a dream, indeed! “Absolutely Relaxing” This cabin is so relaxing to stay at. The sound of the river right outside puts you to sleep at night. We slept with the windows open all nite. The Pictures do not do this cabin justice. The stone walls are something to behold. The kitchen has every appliance and utensil you could ever use all you need is your food. The beds are comfortable. The owners have gone out of their way to make sure you know of all the local area hiking, boating and restaurants that are available in the area. We really would love to stay here again. It is off the beaten path and once you get there you never want to leave.

“Relax- you've found your cabin” Just what we needed to get away from it all for a few days. Clean, well furnished cabin that had all the essentials plus some nice extras in case you forgot some things. Truly spectacular setting with outstanding views. Ten minute drive to downtown, with its mix of trendy and traditional shops, restaurants and galleries. John and Judy are friendly and helpful- willing to offer dining suggestions or directions- but never overbearing. Manageable drive to either the mountains or to asheville to expand your visit options. “Unbelievable location and did so many things at this unique cabi” Easy to check in and out. The outside and inside look even better in person. The way it was designed & decorated was so creative with all the small touches around the cabin. Very clean throuhout the cabin and on the outside. The location was perfect. Anything you could ever want to do: Golfing, hiking, fishing, skiing, tubing, canoeing, and site seeing. At the community center you can even play volleyball, basketball and other activities. They have 24 hour security in this gating community with partrol cars. I loved the fire pit in the backyard of the cabin and it has the biggest loft I have ever seen. You could walk out the cabin and start hiking on the trails. River in the back and a huge lake steps away. I'm so glad that we decided on this cabin for our vacation. Thank you very much to the River Cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

“Beautiful cozy bungalow, the perfect getaway” This was the PERFECT place to stay! The bungalow itself was cozy and had everything we needed, it was very hard to leave such a beautiful relaxing place. My only regret was not staying a few more nights! I can't wait to get another chance to spend some time up at the bungalows. I will definitely be back!!

“Loved this place” I rented this place for family coming into town. We all absolutely loved it! The house is very nice and new. The yard was big enough for the kids to run around and they really enjoyed playing on the zip line. There was plenty of room for our party of five. The kitchen had plenty of cookware and dishes. Everything about the place was great! Thank you for sharing your home with us.
