“Arklethwaite” Very cosy cottage very well equipted. Lovely walks nearby. Langthwaite is a very pretty little village with small friendly pub. Parking just a little bit away from the cottage. Only drawback is it has no garden to sit out in.

“Superb!” Stunning and spacious property. Tastefully and thoughtfully decorated and furnished. Spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. Easily accommodated our party of 8. Hosts were pleasant and helpful, on hand if required but not intrusive. A bottle of wine in the chiller and a home made chocolate cake awaited us on arrival. Our party ranged in age from 11 - 80 , everyone enjoyed their stay and would be delighted to return.

“The warmest welcome.” We crossed from England to Ireland, docking at 6pm. We had a 2 and a half hour drive ahead of us, but the directions were spot-on. Easy, traffic free roads. We arrived at the village at about 8.30pm, and the lady who owns The Dispensary was waiting outside to greet us. There are no shops in the tiny village of Inch, so she'd left us provisions for supper and breakfast, at no extra charge. Home made bread and jam, sausages, bacon, tea, juice. Too much to mention. The nearest shops, pubs etc are about 4 miles away in a busy village. And a more major town is a seaside town called Youghal, just 7 miles from our cottage. The Dispensary is the best equipped holiday place we've ever stayed in. Truely a home from home. Even foil, clingfilm, all your linen including towels and bedding. Outside there is a brand new shed which is a fully functioning utility room. Washing machine, ironing board, clothes airer. The owners are not intrusive, but you are welcome to knock on their door for any directions and advice. They really enjoy their letting project. This holiday is a perfect retreat for anyone wanting peace and tranquility in and idyllic setting. We went there as a base to sight-see around southern Ireland. We loved it, but some of the journeys were epic - for instance from Inch to Killarney was a 2 and a half hour drive, before you even start on the Ring of Kerry. But there were plenty of more local sights - Cork, Blarney Castle, Cobh and many beautiful seaside towns. Well worth a visit is The Mahon Falls with it's Magic and magnetic road - look at it on Youtube. This holiday let, The Dispensary at Inch, was perfect for us. More than perfect. I can't remember what price guide it was given, but I know that at the time I believed that it had been underrated.

About Europe

From bustling big cities to historic small towns, pristine mountain ranges to popular seaside resorts, Europe is a wonderland for the world traveler. Offering unparalleled historic sites, countless museums, and fabulous cuisine, the varied countries of the European continent offer every imaginable opportunity for culture, education, or leisure. For history buffs, there are few destinations as exciting as Greece, where you can explore the ruins of an ancient civilization. Continue your historical wanderings in the cities of Venice, Florence, and Rome, Italy's architectural jewels. In London, England, contemporary museums, a world-class live theater scene, and fabulous shopping compliment the city's lovely historic buildings.

For food lovers, France is a beautiful country, home to many of the world's most famous restaurants. If you love big cities, Prague, Madrid, and Berlin will give you a dose of culture, world-class museums, and wonderful nightlife. For more tranquil charms, music lovers can see a classical performance in the historic concert halls of Vienna and Salzburg, Austria. Beach-goers will be dazzled by the Mediterranean's turquoise coasts, while skiers will be eager to plan a visit the Alps in Switzerland, the place where skiing was first practiced as a sport. Avid hikers can explore pristine glacier scenery in Norway's northern regions, or stroll along striking coastline in Scotland's Outer Hebrides. With so many fascinating destinations in a single continent, deciding where to visit in Europe can be a difficult choice. No matter where you go, Europe is sure to deliver a memorable experience.

Some of Europe's most popular destinations are:

  • Athens, Greece: Visit the ruins of Europe's first democracy at the acropolis in Athens then head out to the picturesque Greek islands for an unforgettable summer escape.
  • Rome, Italy: The fascinating ruins of Roman civilization are among the many interesting sights in the enchanting city of Rome.
  • Barcelona, Spain: Known for its incredible food and wine, original architecture, and glorious beaches, Barcelona is a friendly city and a top summer destination.
  • The Alps: For nature lovers, Europe's largest mountain range is scenic and interesting, stretching across varied cultures in Italy, Switzerland, Germany, and Austria.
  • French Riviera: A place to see and be seen, the French Riviera is one of the most famous and fabulous stretches of coast in the world.

Enjoy Europe from the comfort and privacy of a vacation rental. Your trip will be all the more memorable in a luxurious villa on the Italian coast or a spacious condo on one of the historic Greek Islands. In big cities like Paris or Rome, a trendy apartment is a pleasing alternative to a hotel. For skiing and snowboarding, a cozy cabin in the Alps will accommodate the whole family.

Charming place

Charming villa at a good location with a view all the way to Firenze. Could need some upgrade / reparation of outdoor areas (light, pergola, chairs), but not a problem for us. … see more

Quiet place between London and Kenting’s ransom

The place was clean and matched the photo’s on the app. It was priced accurately. We are from the States and didn’t realize how far we would be for everything, such as, stores, restaurants, castles, gardens and London. If we had to do it over again, we should have hired our rental car from day one. Instead we spent a king’s ransom on Uber. Owner was very accommodating for anything we requested.see more

The Lodge
The Lodge

We enjoyed our stay at The Lodge. The house was well located just off the road from Douglas to Peel in a quiet estate. The rooms were big and bright and we particularly liked the conservatory. It was nice to have basic provisions waiting when we arrived. We stayed a week and visited all parts of the Isle of Man from this central point.see more
No 1, Douglas, Isle of Man
No.1 Ballinard Road

Heather was very friendly and helpful and left a lovely hamper to welcome us to the Isle of Man. It is a 20 - 25 minute walk to Douglas from the house and it is well placed for touring to all parts of the Isle of Man. The park across the road from the house is very nice for a walk and for children to play. We stayed a week and we’re very happy there.see more
CAN MUNAR - Chalet for 4 people in Son Serra de Marina
Unique & Comfortable! Location was 5 star!!!

Just returned from Mallorca…and this place has such a surreal location! This peaceful and calming environment…it’s simply one of a kind…so I rate the location 5 star! This home is unique and a bit chopped up but it added to its charm for sure. Don’t let that put you off, it created no problems, and has everything you need. Very clean, and comfortable beds and A/C upstairs. But be aware…there is no air conditioning or even a standing fan in the living/kitchen area…this would be our only suggestion for a cheap and necessary fix for circulation and comfort. You will definitely need a car to explore this gorgeous island from this location to engage with higher population or more touristy areas,.. such as Alcudia…and then great to come home to the more natural Son Serre! There is is a restaurant right across the street. After trying lots of others, we kept returning…as it was the very best on the whole island!!.( Blue Tamarindo)…just FANTASTIC! And prices are great too…and the service is a 15 out of 10!!!!! Will miss them and their fabulous cheffing!! All in all, I would return to this accommodation again! It was everything we expected and with unexpected surprises too. ❤️see more
